    Contributor Scott Kaplan indicates that reed 1 has “only 12 measures of soprano sax that can be played on alto without altissimo.”

    1. Neither the Reed 1 book nor the Reed 3 flute parts require a flute with a low B. Each can be played on a low C flute.
    2. The Reed 2 bass clarinet parts do not call for notes below low Eb, so they may be played on any bass clarinet.
    3. The Reed 3 baritone saxophone parts calls for a lot of low A’s, so a low A bari sax is a must.
