In the reed two book, there are two errors. In 17, it is a direct segue into 17a but it switches from oboe to English horn. The transposition is correct there. You will have to transpose the English horn part in 17a. The second is mistake is in 17a. On the third beat of measure 101. It should be an f sharp, not an f natural.
I’m currently playing the Reed 2 book…. Apparently the issues you mentioned have been addressed and/or maybe have been rearranged in the most recent version. My #17A is for Oboe only with no transposition issues. Also, it is only 32 measures long, so there is no m. 101 to check–so maybe things have gotten shuffled in a revision since 2017.
I just played the Reed 3 book from Alternate Orchestration of the show. It’s possible that the Reed 3 book from the Standard Orchestration is different.
So I will be doing Beauty and the Beast reed 3 this summer. Flute, clarinet, bass clarinet. I am a clarinet player and have done some flute in the past. My degree is a master’s in clarinet Performance. My question is, how hard is the flute part in reed 3?
It’s challenging, but not crazy hard. The biggest challenge is that there are some very fast switches between clarinet and flute which can make it difficult to set your embouchure and fingers. In some numbers you have to switch back and forth a number of times. I just kept the instruments in my lap during those numbers. It is a lot of fun though. There are some beautiful clarinet lines and some fun bass clarinet parts.

Bass clarinet part goes to low D
Updated to reflect this. Thanks!

Need to condense the 3 reed books into 1 (I know…).
Has anyone done this before / are there any recommendations on how to go about it?
I have 2 reed 3 books now. They both contain bass clarinet and they are very different. What’s up ?

The rental alternate orchestration reed 2 part says oboe and English horn, but then calls for flute in The Mob Song.
Added alternate orchestration as a new listing. Thanks!
The current version of this Reed 1 book goes down to a low B in one song.
Updated. Thank you!
