Aren’t these the Reed arrangements for the 2015 Concert Production. I bought the Playbill for It and these look exactly the same.
Are they always like this? If so, then WOW! 1Piccolo, 3 Flutes, and 4 Clarinets is alright. But:
2 Bass Clarinets,
2 Alto Saxophones,
2 Tenor Saxophones, AND
4 Soprano Saxophones?!
How come each read has more than 1 Saxophone? I mean if that’s what Don Sebesky and Jason Robert Brown Envisioned, that’s fine.
I would just like some clarification.
Nevermind, I recant my original comment, for I have found the original
band arrangements for the original 1998 production and they are just as you listed.
I’m working on Parade currently. MTI sent us the “Alternate Orchestration”. I’m on Reed 4, so I can’t speak for the rest of the books, but mine is pretty much like the above listed, with the exception of soprano sax. None in my book.
I also found that the bass clarinet stuff that’s in the book should have been written for an Eb Contra. It’s totally doable, but would require a Low C, and would just make more sense with the Contra. With all of the doubles listed in each book, I can’t imagine one more would have been too big a hassle.

Based on this comment and review of MTI’s website, I’m marking this listing as the “alternate orchestration” version and removing the soprano saxophone from reed 4. Thanks!
