I’m currently playing a version of Saturday Night Fever that was edited in February of this year (2017) and there is piccolo on the entracte in addition to the flute, clarinet, tenor and alto saxophones.
The hired version from David Spicer that I just played for Saturday Night Fever was three separate reed books.
Reed 1: Alto saxophone (with about 16 bars of flute)
Reed 2: Alto saxophone
Reed 3 Tenor saxophone (with about 16 bars of clarinet and 6-8 bars of soprano sax)
