    In Reed 3, the bass clarinet goes down to a low D and the baritone saxophone to a low A.

    Per Broadwaymusicians.com, the Broadway production has 4 reed books
    REED 1 – PICCOLO/FLUTE/CLARINET/ALTO SAX
    REED 2 – OBOE/ENGLISH HORN
    REED 3 – FLUTE/CLARINET/SOPRANO SAX/TENOR SAX
    REED 4 – CLARINET/BASS CLARINET/BARI SAX/BASSOON
