The piccolo part in one number goes down to a Low C#! It’s in a solo in No 16. Fortunately it’s only grace notes, so can be missed out. I’m not sure if this is considered an erratum or not, but to my knowledge most piccs can’t play it.
2024 Version
Reed 2: The bass clarinet is only in #19 “Vidiots” for 25 bars and can be played on a regular bass clarinet (lowest scored note is an F#).
Soprano saxophone is only in two songs: #12 “It Must Be Believed to Be Seen” (15 bars total) and #22 “Bows” (1.5 pages which mostly is material from the now deleted “When Willy Met Oompa”).
Added based on information received from Kathy Switky.
