I played both the off Broadway and Broadway productions of BMC.
The rental version should match the off-Bway which also includes a vocoder part. On off-Bway I was playing on a separate vocoder, but I believe in the rental there’s just a patch for it.
On Broadway I played through a vocoder patch in Mainstage and we also added tenor recorder.
Just played the Concord rental version of this show. Seems that the rental now reflects the instrumentation seen in the Broadway version (with tenor recorder and vocoder Mainstage patch).
Also worth noting is that the alto recorder part is written transposing (key of F) rather than concert pitch.
