  1. Piccolo, flute, soprano saxophone, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone
  2. Clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone

  1. Updated per information received from Jim Geddes

  2. Mila Weiss says:

The books in my possession read as follows:

    13-piece orchestration
    Copyright 2008

    Reed 1
Flute, Piccolo (preferably wooden), Soprano Sax, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax

    Reed 2
Flute, Clarinet, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Baritone Sax

    • Bret Pimentel says:

I confirmed with Mila that this is a rental, and added it as a separate listing.

I am leaving this version as-is for now (no flute in Reed 2) since information I received previously for the Broadway production didn’t include flute, and sometimes small adjustments are made to orchestrations for rental. If someone can confirm the presence of flute in Reed 2 for the Broadway production, I will alter the listing. Thanks!

      • Michael Antoun says:

Listening to the Broadway recordings of the songs of this musical, I’m pretty sure there are parts with 2 flute parts since you can hear harmony flute parts.

  3. Tom Schubert says:

For the tour 9-piece orchestra, there is only one reed part: Flute, Piccolo (preferably wooden), Clarinet, Soprano Sax, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, & Baritone Sax. I have the book in my lap right now, so I’m positive about the doubling.
