      Thanks!

Would you be willing to share(or direct me to a site with) information about the rest of the orchestrations and musician count(how many Trumpets, Violins, Percussion, etc.) for the Encores production(If it’s any different from the version licensed on Concord Theatre website)?

I just like to study various orchestrations done in the musical theatre, so I could take note of them when I orchestrate for my own compositions for the theatre someday!

According to Steven Suskin’s book “The Sound of Broadway Music,” this is the original instrumentation:

5 reeds (as above), 2 horns, 3 trumpets, 2 trombones, tuba, piano, harp, percussion, and a total of 13 strings (8 violinists, 2 violists, 2 cellists, 1 bass). The version being licensed by Concord Theatricals is a reduction.

I hope this helps! Suskin’s book is a great reference and worth buying if you’re interested in seeing more about original Broadway orchestrations and instrumentation.
